Sławomir Rumiak
Born in 1972 in Bielsko-Biała.
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Branch
College in Katowice .Obtained a degree in 1999 .
Laureate of the Cultural Award of the Governor of the Katowice Province. Grantholder of the Minister of Art and Culture in 1998/99 , scholarship of the Marshal of Silesian Province , 2004.

Since 1997 he has been mainly taking up with photography.
He has taken part in numerous collective exhibitions;
1988 – Aus den Karpaten bis zur Weichsel ;
1996 – To Satirykon
1997 – Osaka Triennial `97
2001 – Traces of a journey, BWA, Bielsko-Biała;
2005 – The Edge of Photography , Vanilla Gallery, Tokyo.

He has held and featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions:

1999- Il Tempo Gallery, Tokyo ( the exhibition promoted by Shaday Gallery, Centre of Photography, Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics, prestgious Zeit Foto Salo and important Japanese photographic magazines; the title of the best exhibition of the month according to the magazine Asahi Camera / August 1999, No.8 / ; portfolio and the cover of the monthly magazine Nippon Camera ), ZPAF Gallery, Katowice ;

He was a guest lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and Akademie voor Beeldende Kunst in Enschede , he was also invited by the classic master of Japanase photography- Eikoh Hose in Tokyo Institute of Polytechnics.

In 2003 he published photographic album titled `Love book` distinguished in the anthology `246 Loaded Phothography Books : The Edge of Photography `, Tokyo 2005 ,
His photographies were printed in Ashai Camera , Nippon Camera ( the cover), Yaso, Brain , S magazine, Burst ( the cover) , Foto , Focus ( Holland) , Opcje ( the cover),
