The Gallery deals with contemporary and XX th century workshop
art , both figurative and abstract. It presents works of painting,
graphic and photography.
The main policy of the Gallery is to organize exhibitions
and sale of three groups of artists:
- famous contemporary artists of middle-aged generation from
Katowice and Cracow
- a little bit forgotten , passed-over for museum exhibitons,
but simultaneously very important dead artists, such as Wacław
Taranczewski, Leopold Lewicki, Stanisław Wójtowicz, Roman
Sielski, Marian Malina, Zdzisław Stanek.
- young , outstanding artists awarded in national and international
competitions
and having interesting solo and group presentations in their
artistic output, such as Ewa Sycha, Andrzej Tobis, Elżbieta
Kozera, Jakub Adamek, Kacper Bożek, Tomasz Daniec, Katarzyna
Chudzik, Ewa Kutylak, Sławomir Rumiak, Kalina Zielkowska and
Malwina Niespodziewana.
Promotion and support for artists` creation has been the main
goal of the Gallery.
`Czas` Gallery also takes up publishing of graphic portfolio,
which tradition dated back to the begining of XX century.
Lately it has published the engraving portfolio of Krzysztof
Skórczewski.
Currently, together with `Nautilus` Antique Gallery from Cracow,
the portfolio of 12 illustrations by Kacper Bożek to M. Bulhakov`s
novel ` Master and Margareth` is being prepared in aquatint,
etching and mezzotint techniques.
